He will be home FRIDAY!Its me again Elder Payne!

Life is good as it can be! Its weird that its my last email. Sometimes I don't know what to think. Ive got that scared feeling I had when it was close for me to go on my mission. It was a sweet Weekend. The Harber missionaries had a baptism, and we were able to get Brian and Leeann there! The members did really well helping with there kids since they have two 14 month twin girls and a month old baby. They have there hands full! I kept telling her when she gets baptized! Then they came to sacrament! They can't wait till they are 18 months then they can take them to nursrey! Even though they are not reading and praying, I think they know they will be baptized! Tonight we are going to have dinner with them! Well this week is going to fly by so fast! Tomorrow is pretty much my last day. Prepreation today, then on Wednesday we have meetings in the morning and in the evening. See ya'll on Friday! Thanks for everything ya'll do!

Love Elder Payne!

Woddrow its been quite a party!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8498169893622646350.post-87736322719382785992010-04-12T11:50:00.001-06:002010-04-12T11:56:41.275-06:00

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8498169893622646350.post-41779725557301620942010-04-12T11:49:00.000-06:002010-04-12T11:50:52.082-06:00Its me again Elder Payne!

Life is good as it can be! Saturday was the first weekend we got to work and it felt great! It was zone confence then general confrence. So it felt great having all day Saturday to work! We didn't get many lessons, but it was productive, and we got some apointments set up for this week. Its going to be a sweet week. Hopefully its going to be warm till I get home, because I shipped all my winter stuff home! So I hope ya'll get a package this week. Last week we went go carting, and lazer tagging! It was so fun and different! Especially driving the go carts!
We taught Mary Ankerberg, and I think she's understanding it a little better. I think she does have her own small Testimony of the church, Hopefully she will for sure know after she gets baptized. I'm hoping to see her get married before I leave, but the divorce won't be final till another month. We get a ton of set apointments, but a lot of them don't go through. Its so disapointing. Then we meet some of the nicest people, and they are not interested. Well thats pretty much about it. Thanks for all ya'll do!

Love Elder Payne!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8498169893622646350.post-20161108296937052282010-04-05T17:26:00.002-06:002010-04-05T17:29:01.666-06:00Its me again Elder Payne!

Life is good as it can be! Easter Sunday was good with general conference. I really enjoyed President Monson talk at Preistood session. I enjoyed his funny stories! Elder Holland was pulling a President Monson with his funny comments. Haha! As tired as I am from being on a bike I sure was ready to get on one after sitting for 2 days straight! The jist of the conference was teach your family the gospel for sure. Mary Ankerberg watched some of conference from home. She said she liked the teaching of a mother's role and how important it is to fullfill it. We were not able to meet with Brad this week. When we were leaving his house it started pouring down raining, and I was drenched in minutes. Hopefully most of the rain will hold of for another month.
I was planning on getting rid of my white shirts, and 2 pairs of my slacks. I want to try and go to the temple on Friday before I get released if possible! If ya'll can ask the Bishop what he wants me to speak on and how long that would be great. Since Im speaking my first Sunday back. Don't forget to tell President Seal, and all my friends!
On Friday we had a sweet lesson with a less active watching Tried In All Things. Its the story of the 3 18 yr old boys helping the people cross the river. Telling the importance of Enduring to the end and the blessings you receive! That is for sure one of my favorite talks! The Spirit was so strong that night!
I know that the church is true, and the blessing we receive as we follow the council of the Prophet. I know, and nothing else matters.

Love Elder Payne!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8498169893622646350.post-47665965236541308752010-03-29T16:00:00.001-06:002010-03-29T16:03:20.244-06:00Its me agaim Elder Payne!

Life is good as it can be. I had my last zone confrence. President Merkley talked about artifacts that are in the Book of Mormon. We read from 1Nephi 15-17. We also watched a video called Journey of Faith. I never thought about looking into the history of the Book of Mormon. We also learned about how to talk to people and making it unified where we are both talking. I was the only one that had to give my departing Testimony. It was hard to realize that it was really my turn to go. We did find a way sweet new investigater that night also! Brad is way sincere! He's going to come to church next week, and it was totally sweet when our exchanged bore Testimony!
Its probably going to be really close to when I come home before I can send my winter stuff home. The weather can't make up its mind of what it wants to do. Its supposed to be sunny all this week! Im excited for that! We have a district meeting with President Merkley this Thursday. We found a few good potentials last week that we are schduled to see this week. I hope it will go through. We see a ton of miracles of setting up appointments, but they don't go through. Well I reckon thats about it for this week! Thanks for all ya'll do!

Love Elder Payne!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8498169893622646350.post-37749606129843665112010-03-22T16:35:00.001-06:002010-03-22T16:38:56.948-06:00Its me again Elder Payne!

Life is pretty good! It was in the high 60's Friday, then it started icing Saturday afternoon. It pretty much snowed all day yesterday, and now its high 50's and 70's tomorrow. Thats Arkansas weather for ya! Church was cancelled, and I was so disapointed. We were in the house all day! We were out for about an hr, but nothing went through. It was a long boring Sunday. The only excitment was that I took a nap. Luckily I was able to sleep that night.
I met with the new ward mission leader. He was in the Bishopric before he was ward mission leader. He would always come into our missionary meeting. So he's pretty familar with the calling. He will do good. Elder Barton is a good missionary. Its going to be a sweet transfer. He's probably going to be Sr comp after I leave. So he will probably be here for 6 months or so. President Merkley is leaving Sr comp in areas from 6 - 7 1/2 months. Zone conference is this Saturday in Bentonville. Its going to be so sweet! Well thats about it. We did quite a bit of service this week, then plus the storm. So we didn't seem like we did as much this week. Thanks for everything!

Love Elder Payne!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8498169893622646350.post-72060641616434329562010-03-15T17:42:00.000-06:002010-03-15T17:44:35.434-06:00Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8498169893622646350.post-31007607905666950612010-03-15T17:35:00.002-06:002010-03-15T17:40:58.132-06:00Its me again Elder Payne!

Life is good as it can be for in Springdale! It got a little cold again and had to pull out the long underwear again. Im so ready to get rid of my winter stuff. Transfer day was fun! It was pretty depressing knowing it was the last time I'll get to see some of the missionaries. It was pretty neat on transfers I got to see a member at the church, that I didn't get a chance to say goodbye to. I found out that Tom Lecky was in Bartlesville, and he was going to take me out to lunch, but I was already gone. It would be totally sweet to see him one last time!
Claudia is the only one in the family that comes to church. The spanish elders talked to her for a minute and asked us about her. haha! They were going to try and steal! I said No Way! She's our member. She's been fellowshipped way good by the ward. She signed up on the dinner calandar several times. She's golden!
We got a new ward mission leader. So that will be different. Bro. Garner was called to be Elder's Quorm President.
Mary is slowly progressing. She put her coffee pot away, and is now drinking herbal tea. She just needs to now overcome smoking a little bit more. We gave her a marriage date for the 17th of April, and hopefully it will be sooner than that. I hope to see her close to being baptized.
Well thats about it for now. Thanks for everything!

Love Elder Payne!

P.S. Just because I said something in a letter doesn't mean Im trunky! Im not counting the days down. I know I only have a little time left. It stinks because I don't think Im going to be here for Mary's baptism. I want ya'll to know that. And I thank you for the help. The only thing I want to do is go back to bartlesville and teach Sister Hall.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8498169893622646350.post-52963992041825244742010-03-08T17:13:00.001-07:002010-03-08T17:18:38.365-07:00Its me again Elder Payne!

Life is good as it can be! Lunch was good! We ate at a Mexican place. Later that night the marshlee's bought ice cream and sparkling cider. So it was a good day! I don't feel that much different. The biking is doing good. I had a few loose spokes and a member was able to fix it for me! So now its only got to last a little longer. I actully already gotten it sold. One of the marshlee's is going to buy from me for a 100.
Church was really good. It was stake confrence, and Elder Gibbs came. He told us that we shouldn't worry about writing things down but listen to the Spirit! The music was great as well! We wern't able to get any investigaters there. I wish there was, because it turned out really good for them. You never know if it's going to be bad for them, since its so different.
Well I'll be staying here the rest of my mission. Elder Tebao is getting transferred across the hall into the Marshlee's. My companion is coming from Tulsa. I don't think he's been out too long. Last Friday I pulled out my short sleeves shirts, and it feels so good to have them on! Later today were going to the mall. Its going to be a fun prepreation day!
On Friday night we had a way sweet lesson with Mary and John Sawyer! All John talked about most of the night was him and her going to the temple! He really regrets the choices he's made. She just has to wait like 30 days before her divorce is finalized. So she should get baptized before the end of the transfer. Im excited! Its going to be a sweet last transfer!
I got a letter from Ron Moyer, and he went through the temple not to long ago! Friday was a total Awsome day hearing that!
Well thats about it for now. Thanks for everything ya'll do!

Love Elder Payne!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8498169893622646350.post-26516144296046310012010-03-01T15:18:00.002-07:002010-03-01T15:21:24.917-07:00Its me again Elder Payne!

Another week has flown by fast as usual. Its the end of suit coat season, and Im so happy I don't have to wear it anymore except for meetings of course. Since the whole district is in Springdale, we're probably going to go out to lunch on Wednesday. Its hard to believe that I turn 21 this week. This Saturday is transfer calls, and think I will be getting a new companion. This transfer is flying by!
I learned this week that Marshlee time is never on time. Its always like an hr or 2 later for when they start. Mary was the only investigater at church, and I made sure to call them all. But we did finally contact a girl thats been wanting to learn more! She seems real promising! We're going to see her on Wednesday. On Friday night we taught a LA member named Nau. He was telling us that he's ready to have the Holy Ghost back with him. He expressed that he missed the feeling he had. He came to church, and thats just as exciting as having investigaters! Well I think thats about it. Life is good! Thanks for everything ya'll do!

Love Elder Payne!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8498169893622646350.post-88964602978990020132010-02-22T21:19:00.000-07:002010-02-22T21:21:29.522-07:00
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8498169893622646350.post-24968865717495170512010-02-22T21:13:00.002-07:002010-02-22T21:18:28.144-07:00Its me again Elder Payne!

Life is good as it can be for a missionary! Haha! Except it could be a little warmer! We had Mary at church on Sunday. We have her set up to get a annulment divorce, and re-married. She's just struggling to quit smoking. Other than that she ready to be baptized. Haha! I can only remember Callie having to give one talk the entire time we've been in Utah, and that was when we moved there. I suspect that Callie and I will be having our talks on the same day? Sometime next month I will be giving a talk in sacrament on Preach My Gospel. Hopefully we can get them more excited on using it. How are ya'lls study on it?
We had a great lesson with Claudea on Saturday. She was telling us how slowing everything has been falling back into place for her to come back to church. She's working on getting her records here so she can get her patriarchal Blessing! That is totally Awesome!
The other day we found 3 new investigaters, but the down fall on that day was that I had a flat tire! Haha! Not good when your a good half hr away for being on a bike. Luckily we found a member that was home so we could get a ride home. All I have to say is that our ward missionaries are Awesome! They love helping us out! It can't get any better than having good member support!

P.S. Did ya'll get my note from Kevin? I want nothing for my Birthday but letters from ya'll. Thats all I need and want. Tell Karan that as well please! Thanks for everything ya'll do!

Love Elder Payne!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8498169893622646350.post-52498381515923285102010-02-16T19:44:00.002-07:002010-02-16T19:47:31.064-07:00Its me again Elder Payne!

Life is good as it can be for a missionary, and cold as it could have been yesterday! Haha! The only inch of skin you could see on me was my eyes! And I was still cold! Haha! Thanks for the hand warmers! They were a life saver!
Zone confrence was good! They talked about how we can do better at commiting people to be baptized! It was a little depressing because I only have one more zone confrence and I'll be giving my departing Testimony. Claudia didn't make it to church this week, because she slept in. Im not worried about her. She's golden for coming back!
I got my trunky papers this past week. I wrote my most Spiritual experience. It was Ron Moyer. Seeing him gain his Testimony shows how much God is Our Loving Heavenly Father and that he Loves us and answers our prayers! Seeing that strengthened my Testimony in my Heavenly Father!
We got a new Bishop this past week. With it we lost a few ward missionaries. With one we went out in the middle of no where to find some members. Even though we didn't teach anybody that night it was fun. He said that's what missionary work is about. Having a good time! So the first Sunday we tracted into a part-member family. Claudea hasen't been to church in like 6 yrs. She was always forced into going to church, and thats why she quit going when she was 16. She bore her Testimony in the lesson on how she knows that families are forever! It was way Sweet! Then I heard that she bore her Testimony in Relief Society! She said her husband will probably follow through, just has to give him time! Its way exciting how solid she is by coming back to church!
Super Bowl is one of the worst days for missionaries. Its like trying to work on Christmas, and everybody is too busy watching the game. So we didn't do too much yesterday. Elder Tebau's Patrearch died before he could get his blessing on paper, so we went to the Stake patrearch yesterday so he could get his blessing. It was a pretty neat experience. Well zone confrence is this Saturday, so that will be fun! Ya'll take care and Thanks for everything!

Love Elder Payne!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8498169893622646350.post-21074559954088573792010-02-02T14:04:00.001-07:002010-02-02T14:07:09.756-07:00Its me again Elder Payne!

Life is good as it can be! We had a bad snow strom come in! Because of the storm we had transfers on Wednesday afternoon instead of Thursday morning. We spent all day Friday hanging out with a family playing games! It was pretty fun! Plus I got to take a nap. We spent all day Saturday shoveling snow! I forgot how long it can take to shovel snow! I was dead tired by that night and the next morning! Church was cancelled, because of the storm. Sunday was the first day we got to go out and work. Im in a bike area. The only problem is that the area is spread out so it takes a long time to get to different areas.
My companion's name is Elder Tebao. He's from some island. He's been out for 3 months so I'm follow up training him. He's a lot more fun than Elder Davis. Even though Elder Davis is a good missionary.
There's 5 wards that meet in the building. We have church at 8:30. We share an apartment with the Marshalee's Elders. There's probably like 60,000 people in Springdale. I say its like Longview except no mall.
You can try and get permission to call me! That would be sweet!
Well thats about it for now. Its going to be a busy day. Thanks for everything!

Love Elder Payne!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8498169893622646350.post-27052260913767395452010-01-26T12:42:00.002-07:002010-01-26T12:45:31.249-07:00Its me again Elder Payne!

Life is depressing! Were both getting transferred! Im going to Springdale Arkansas. I leave Thursday morning. Minnie is set for her baptism this Saturday. The district Leader from Independence KN is taking our place and he is training. So the new missionary is going to see a baptism right off!
I don't want to leave Bartlesville! This is my home! The one person Im going to miss most is Sister Hall. She's the less active we've been working with. Help her come to church so she can go back to the temple! In a humbling way I think Ive been the only missionary thats been persistant with her. She told me she wants a birthday card in May. The good this is that I can call everybody in 3 months! Thats what keeping me going. In my letter to President Merkley I told him its been quite a party being back in Bartlesville. Well got to go! Its going to be busy the next 2 days. Thanks for everything!

Love,
Elder Payne!

New Address:
2560 Mia PL #A
Springdale Ark 72764Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8498169893622646350.post-19887987718306402482010-01-21T12:17:00.001-07:002010-01-21T12:18:32.772-07:00Its me again Elder Payne!

Life is good as it can be! Its supposed to be in the 60's all this week, then back in the the 30s and 40's next week. Transfer calls are this Saturday. I hope I get to stay another transfer. Transfers are now on Thursdays instead of Fridays. So good news for ya'll I come home on the 23rd instead of the 24th.
Minnie had her interview with President Merkley, and she's set for baptism on the 30th of January. Purpose in Bartlesville is fulfilled! Just another day for a missionary on Martin Luther King Day. We started off with our suits, but had to lose them since in was like 60 and we were on bikes!
Thats about it. Hopefully I'll get to stay another transfer or finish my mission here. Thanks for everything ya'll do!

Love Elder Payne!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8498169893622646350.post-78671307046820226392010-01-13T18:03:00.001-07:002010-01-13T18:04:57.721-07:00Its me again Elder Payne!

It was freezing all last week! The tempature was in the teens!Sunday morning it didn't get any warmer than 50, because it was -3. Mini Hughs and her family all got moved in Saturday into the house next door. Mike couldn't get the house any warmer than like 55 degrees! So its way good that they moved out. President Merkley is going to interview Mini this week for baptism. Hopefully she's going to get baptized on the 30th of this month. Interviews went good with President Merkley. I might finish my mission here. So I won't be surprised if I stay another transfer.
When we were about to leave the church we heard water and a pipe busted from the ceiling! So for an hr we were trying to keep the water in the room and cleaning it all up! Thats about exciting as it gets for yesterday. Prepreation day is next Tuesday, because its Martin Luther King day next Monday. Thanks for everything! Ya'll take care!

Love Elder Payne!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8498169893622646350.post-14029388489569338092010-01-05T21:35:00.000-07:002010-01-05T21:37:25.034-07:00Its me again Elder Payne!

I reckon life is good as it can be! I can only imagine its the yr ya'll been looking for. I got ya'lls package on Saturday. I used the hand warmers right away! We were doing service all that morning! Thank you so much! It snowed Saturday night. So after church we spent the afternoon shoveling some driveways! I enjoyed it a lot. I heard later this week its suppose to get down to like 0 degrees. Im not looking forward to that at all.
Mini was the only one that came to church. We were able to get her to stay for all 3 hrs. Were going to talk to the Bishop this week to see if he thinks she is ready for baptism. Hopefully it will be really soon.
Zone confrence was really good yesterday. They talked a lot on having faith to see the mircles! I got up and shared the story about Ron Moyer. Zone confrence can really get you going!
We didn't do too much on New Yrs. Just hung out with the other Elders and with members. I helped a lady take down her tree. Well thats about it for Bartlesville! Thanks for everything ya'll do!

Love Elder Payne!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8498169893622646350.post-81620905950662324222009-12-29T08:57:00.000-07:002009-12-29T08:58:49.336-07:00Its me again Elder Payne!

Haha! Not much to say since we talked on Friday! We spent about a quarter of the day on Saturday shoveling snow. It was nice to change things up a bit. We didn't have our first appointment till 4:30. We didn't have the car that day so we were on foot. I can't wait till the ice melts! I about fell like 30 times! The storm was so bad that Pawhuska cancelled church. President Justinson didn't want to risk it since everybody has to drive a ways to get to church. Not much else going on. The next 2 weeks prepreation day will be on Tuesday. Next Monday is zone confrence then the week after President Merkley comes to District Meeting. Well I reckon thats about it. Thanks for everything!

Love Elder Payne!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8498169893622646350.post-15180938015515460452009-12-21T17:23:00.002-07:002009-12-21T17:31:15.359-07:00Its me again Elder Payne!

Life is ok. We've definitely had better weeks. We get back Saturday afternoon from doing service, and we get a phone call from President Justinson, the branch President. Alex's parents have joint custody, and his Father is not allowing him to get baptized right now. The Father is Atheist. Hope knew he needed to know. So the baptism is postponed for awhile. We did have a good lesson with them on Sunday. We talked about how his dad can't take away his Testimony no matter what. Hope bore her Testimony on how if it wasn't for Alex wanting to go to church then she wouldn't be active right now. It was Awesome!
I got ya'lls package, and the phone numbers. I'll probably call sometime that morning. We haven't talked to the members about where we're going yet. Well talk to ya'll on Friday!

Love Elder Payne!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8498169893622646350.post-11500685107880488742009-12-16T18:00:00.001-07:002009-12-16T18:03:03.843-07:00Its me again Elder Payne!

Life is good as it can be! Man was it cold on Wednesday! I was kind of at the point where I was wanting and needing to get in at somebodys house. Work was still able to go forth. Im just not looking forward to the holidays. Thats when it gets hard to see people. We got to see Jacob once last week, but hes been sick. Alex Floyd, the 9 yr old is getting baptized this Sat. Its going to be way sweet! Hope is way excited because her family is coming up for the baptism! The branch President is going to be baptizing and confirming him. Hopefully we will be able to see the other part member families this Friday.
Can ya'll get me a pair of the things that you put in my shoes to keep it shape. I would like another pair since there new and my other ones are still nice. I'll be sending a package home this week for ya'll. I already had it planned out what I was going to get ya'll. We had our 2 christmas parties last week! They were fun! We ate like Kings! Not too many plans for Christmas yet, but we will. Other than that, not much else will be going on. Ya'll take care, and Thanks for everything! In case you couldnt tell by the last email I am not being transferred. I will be here until the end of January.

Love Elder Payne!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8498169893622646350.post-59901512747518679592009-12-07T20:05:00.002-07:002009-12-07T20:10:21.787-07:00Its me again Elder Payne!

Its pretty cold down here! Its suppose to be in the 30's this week I think. I believe its suppose to rain tomorrow as well. And did I mention we will not have the car this week! Haha! I heard that Houston got snow. I don't think the cold is from Texas.
Jacob was staying with Jody because she has a daughter that is special, as well as a handful. So Jacob was helping her raise her kids. The good news is that he moved out because they got in a fight. Now he has his own place across town. Now there's nothing really holding him back from baptism. The bad news is that his family is really working him because hes taking the lessons. Hes now wondering if he should continue. Hopefully he will contine to investigate.
Elder Davis and I are doing pretty well. I always try to start a conversation with him but he doesn't say much. Thats the hardest part. Elder Davis is from Washington. One of his friend is in the BYU ward. Not much plans for Christmas yet, but we will.
Haha! We freeze at night! I feel like Im camping except I know I will stay dry! Were going to put up plastic over the windows, and Im going to buy some more thermals to wear at night.
I saw Joanne last week. She's doing alright. Her mom died last month as well as rest of the dogs we knew. She got my card that sent to her last yr.
Well ya'll take care! Talk to ya'll in a couple weeks.

Love Elder Payne!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8498169893622646350.post-216621540911004412009-12-01T15:36:00.001-07:002009-12-01T15:38:32.811-07:00Its me again Elder Payne!

Life is good as it can be. We had interviews with President Merkley yesterday. That went really well. He's really focusing on the family! He said I'll probably get to stay another transfer. I'll find out for sure find out by the 12th. Thanksgiving was good as it can be! I got to have fried Turkey! It was so good! I was so full from lunch that I didn't eat dinner! I took a little bit of a nap for a few minutes. We were too busy stoping by people!
Jacob comes froma catholic backgound. He knows that they are not true. He's seeking for the truth! He knows its true! The only problem is that hes living with a lady, and helping her and her kids. The lady he lives with is sick a lot, so she relys on Jacob. Hes hoping to get custody of the kids after she passes. He's willing to hold his religion up to help the lady and the kids. Hes really showing Charity! Plus he has no other place to stay.
Grove isn't near my zone. Elder Peterson's zone and district is in Arkansas. The only thing I can use for Christmas is another pair of grey slacks. I would like a Jessie Clark Funk cd, and if you can find a panio cd that doesn't sound too boring. Ive listened to panio cds from walmart that you find in the decoration home part. It has a touch screen that you can listen with a bunch of other cds. But thats all I need.
Dad told me not to worry about christmas presents. Does that include everybody in the family? I think I have what I want for everybody except for callie.
Well thats about it for now. Thanks for everything!

Love Elder Payne!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1
